About Us
We are a Southern Baptist church that agrees with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 — learning the Bible so that we can be a church that loves God and others, through the grace of God.
The Bible is God's inspired Word — our guide for faith, life, and everything in between.
Forgiveness and eternal life are God's merciful gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ — not earned.
We're learning the Bible so we can be a church that loves God and our neighbors through His grace.

The Heart of Our Name
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God — not of works, lest any man should boast.”
If you read the passages in the Bible that mention grace, you'll find many speak of God giving us wisdom, guidance, and strength to live a godly life that blesses our family, friends, and neighbors. This is a gift He gives — not something we earn or deserve.
Religiosity generally gets this backwards. It tries to do good in order to earn God's favor. That can be a real drudgery — it leaves you doubting whether you've done enough, and it's what makes hypocrites so common.
God's plan is to make us genuinely holy from the inside out as we yield to His leading. It's a merciful rescue that fills us with joy and gratitude. (Matt. 22:37–39, Gal. 5:16)
All of us begin life as broken people, insisting on going our own way independently of God. This self-mindedness is called pride — the core sin we experience — and it brings into our lives every other evil compulsion we feel.
But this bad news is eclipsed by the good news of God's grace. Forgiveness, cleansing, eternal life, and peace with God are promised as a merciful gift. The Son of God took our guilt upon Himself and received the penalty due us. Because of His gift, we can go free — free from guilt, free from sin's power to drag us down.
You can make this choice right now, if you are willing — no special location or ritual required. See John 3:16, Romans 6:23, John 5:24, 2 Cor. 5:19–21.
We would love to talk or pray with you.
